NBSC partners with eleven HEIs for the Philippines-Canada network for sustainability
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with eleven (11) Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on January 21, 2023, at the WCC Aeronautical and Technological College (WCC-ATC) Binalonan campus in Pangasinan.
As an offshoot of the recent participation of NBSC President, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden in the Partnership Study Mission and Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) Conference last November 13-21, 2022, participating Higher Education Institutions of the study mission formed a consortium called the Philippines-Canada Network for Sustainability (PCNS).
All parties agree to mutually strengthen relations between the Philippine Higher Education Institutions through collaborations and mutual assistance in professional training and capacity development, curricular and academic innovations such as micro-credentialing, research, and development of institutional linkages for internationalization, among others.
The consortium MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) representatives led by Chairman Dr. J. Prospero E. De Vera III and Ms. Angel Cachuela, Trade Commissioner of the Education, Agriculture, and agri-Food Commodities of the Embassy of Canada – Manila.
The College President was joined by Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, NBSC Vice-President for Academic Affairs, who signed as a witness to the signing of bilateral agreements with participating HEIs.
Present during the signing were the presidents and officials of all the participating HEIs, namely Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Far Eastern University, Northern Bukidnon State College, Panpacific University, Romblon State University, Tarlac State University, The Manila Times College of Subic, Universidad de Dagupan, University of the Philippines Los Baños, University of Southern Mindanao, World Citi Colleges, and WCC Aeronautical and Technological College.
